On arrival your Aquella Travel’s Tourist Guide will meet you and transfer you to Phelwana Game Lodge. The lodge offers high quality accommodation, high levels of service and hospitality and excellent cuisine.
Here you will be staying in a luxury tent or bush villa for the next 4 nights, each with its own private veranda and pool. The luxury tents also boast views of the nearby Phelwana Dam, with its resident hippo family. Check in and enjoy lunch before you set off on your first game drive in the park with your ranger. During this drive, you can expect to see giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and impala to name but a few. On return to camp, freshen up and enjoy dinner under the African night sky.
Day 2 | Search for the Big 5 in the Manyeleti Game Reserve
We depart early today for a morning game drive in the Big 5 Manyeleti Private Game Reserve.
This 23 000-hectare private game reserve borders directly to the vast Kruger National Park, as well as the famous Sabi Sand and Timbavati Game Reserves. As such, you can be absolutely sure to only experience the best game viewing possible, including the Big 5. We return to your lodge at around 11am to relax and enjoy lunch before our second game drive which starts at 3pm. We will be back at camp at around 7pm and you will have the opportunity to freshen up before dinner is served.
Day 3 | Explore the Panorama Route
We depart after breakfast to explore the breath-taking Panorama Route on a full day private tour.
The Panorama route is a beautiful winding road traversing the edge of the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains. Highlights:
- God’s Window is a beautiful viewpoint on the edge of the mountain range.
- Lisbon Waterfalls and the Berlin Waterfalls are two beautiful falls with an interesting history.
- The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world and the biggest all-green canyon in the world.
- Bourke’s Luck Potholes is where two rivers meet and a truly spectacular sight.
We will enjoy lunch in the lovely little tourist town of Graskop and we will return to the lodge before sunset.
Day 4 | Visit the iconic Kruger National Park
The day starts early as you depart on a full day private safari in the world-famous Kruger National Park. The whole day is devoted to driving inside the Park with your private guide in your own private air-conditioned closed vehicle.

This is the land of baobabs, fever trees, knob thorns, marula and mopane trees underneath which lurk the Big Five, and more species of mammals and birds than any other African Game Reserve. Enjoy breakfast and lunch at one of the many stopovers and return to the lodge after sunset.
Day 5 | Bush walk and Animal Rehabilitation Tour
